Mary Papaj

Mary Papaj is a co-founder of Arizona Felters’ Guild. She started felting about six years ago. Initially self taught, she has taken many workshops including those of Beth Marx and Dani Ives. Her medium of choice prior to wool was painting, so her love of color is reflected in her work. She is also a member of the Tuscon Weavers’ Guild and their fe!ting work study group where she has learned a lot from very experienced felters. She enjoys teaching and currently does workshops in both needle and wet felting at a local creative studio, her home, and guild venues. She has also taught at the Arizona Fiber Arts Retreat. Mary looks forward to learning more complex techniques and incorporating them into future work.
